- Bald eagles have a long, downward-curving yellow bill with large, keen eyes.
- Eagles are powerful fliers who can reach speeds of up to 100MPH (160 KPH) during a dive.
- Eagles are carnivores and hunt during the day (they are diurnal).
- An eagle will hunt mammals, snakes and other birds but diet of an eagle is made up mostly of fish.
- Eagles reach maturity at 4 to 5 years.
- Both male and female eagles help to incubate the eggs in the nest.
